Asheville, NC is the Place to Be

Hello Family and Friends.

Here are some highlights of my current stay at my sister's place. I sleep in my camper van so I don't have to schlep everything inside. I am very comfortable, as the evening breezes are cool and I keep my windows open.

I couldn't keep everything in the van. I had to clean out all food and anything scented because of..... BEARS! Wait, what? Yep, I brought in my food, but everything else is fine and not attractive to the forest animals.

Fresh eggs every morning.

They said, "You're welcome"!

My sister makes a new, special cocktail each Friday, along with a long-distance best friend. This one has ice cream and creme de menthe as the main ingredients. So fancy.

Here's the cleanest show in town.

You know what? I seem to keep running into manikins. The guy in the middle is obviously dancing and saying "YESSSSSSSS"!
My sister's ornate door knocker. Beeeeautiful.
This is my brother-in-law Michael, or at least the back side of him. He is my hero. I found a wonderful day bed for the spare room at Kathi's house and he came with me to get it. Well, the lady said it had to be dismantled because the bedroom door is too small to accommodate it. We scrambled to find the right allen wrench. Success!
Here's Petey. The sweetest, most lovable dog ever. As many of you know, I don't like dogs. I like Petey though, a lot. I think he loves me too. He lays his head on my lap and paws at my arm a bit. I'm a sucker for this and he gets a belly rub.
Here's my sister's home in Asheville.

Here is Calamity Jane taking a well-deserved rest. I stay in back by the chickens. No rooster to wake me though. As you can see, I'm leaning a bit to the right. I have new levelers to try.

Next adventure I'm planning will be Asheville to Mocksville to visit Cathy McAdam and family, then onto Chesapeake, VA to see my bonus daughter Kristina, her husband Frank and their baby daughter Kennedy. I love being a bonus grandma.

Take care!
