Sedona and Other Adventures
Hello Family and Friends,
I had a wonderful time with Janean in Flagstaff and her son Brenden (Sorry if I spelled it wrong) was a wonderful addition to the experience. Janean is special to me as she has been a mentor and friend. She really took good care of me. This is is her view as she looks out the window of her home. She gets to see this beautiful peak with snow on it. Here's the info: Humphreys Peak is the highest of a group of dormant volcanic peaks known as the San Francisco Peaks.

Maudelle and LynnI got to visit a wonderful friend, Maudelle Terry and her husband Lynn. I had not seen them since my RV trip in 2014. Maudelle and I picked up where we left off. A lot of good talks and a lot of wisdom was passed along and I absorbed every bit of it. She even shared "Grandma Baker's Advice" booklet she wrote and it's wonderful. It's for women and I will share it with others. Her grandma raised her and was quite a character. You didn't get away with anything if you were in her household!
Now, you know all of those pics you see of "Van Life" and how glamorous it looks when the back doors of the camper van are open to the ocean and there's a glass of wine with the sunset in the background? Well, sometimes I have an emotional day, have a mess to clean up, damp laundry drying in the sun (I really thought it was dry when I took it out of the dryer) - thanks for the use of your washer/dryer Janean! After leaving Sedona I had a 90-minute wait on the road to get out of town due to road work, a series of weird occurrences on the road, a lot of trouble with Verizon and T-Mobile and even waiting for an hour at Verizon in Winslow, AZ only to find out they could not help me. I am having connection issues as well as finalizing a bill with Verizon. Ugh. Then, I encountered several people in a very bad mood as I traveled. The shining light in all of this is I reached out to people who love me, I calmed down and an Angel named Debbie at an RV Park welcomed me in after a search for a place to stay. With spotty internet/phone coverage, this travel life can be challenging. Today is a new day, leaving Winslow and headed to Albuquerque.
