Amarillo to Oklahoma City

Hello Family and Friends,

I started the day looking over at a horse (a plastic one randomly placed) and some trucks. Pretty normal for Texas. I went to get an oil change and checked the tires. Ready for the day.

Tomorrow, I'll be in Arkansas visiting a dear friend, Maureen. Tonight, another comfort food and comfort sleep at another Cracker Barrel!






Yep, there are lots and lots of cows and later on I saw longhorns! 

This is God's country. Biggest cross I've ever seen.

Bathroom wall at one of nicest roadside rest stops anywhere! The inside is spotless has A/C. Yes!

They call rest stops "Picnic Areas" for the most part.

Hello Family and Friends, I'm learning the ways of the South. There are several different traffic/road rules here for sure and people don't mind g o i n g  s l o w on the roads. Sedona and Other Adventures

Hello Family and Friends, I had a wonderful time with Janean in Flagstaff and her son Brenden (Sorry if I spelled it wrong) was a wonderful addition to the experience. Janean is special to me as she has been a mentor and friend. She really took good care of me. This is is her view as she looks out the window of her home. Arrived in Asheville, NC!

 Hello Family and Friends!             (If you have had trouble commenting....try now - I changed things up) I stayed overnight in Knoxville and then headed East. I arrived at my sister's home in Asheville, NC. So happy to see her! I have a few stories for you. As you know I am often staying at Cracker Barrel Restaurants overnight in their parking lots for free. I showed up at the one in Memphis awhile back. Well....I walked up to the hostess station and told the young girl that I didn't see any signs that I usually see, ones that say you can stay overnight. She said it would not be a good idea to stay over. She thought I was asking to stay INSIDE the restaurant to sleep!! I quickly clarified that I was in a CAMPER VAN and it was the PARKING LOT I was interested in, not pitching a tent and roasting s'mores inside. Ha ha.
